Winnie Dot.
We were called in to assist the ladies at Winnie Dot in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire in creating a sophisticated brand identity, following a failed attempt by another brand designer.
It was immediately clear that we should take charge of the project as the client’s ideas had obviously derailed the previous designer.
The name “Winnie Dot” was inspired by the owner’s grandmother, who went by that name.
When asked to create a brand identity for high-end lingerie boutique we were very clear that this should take a minimalist look and centre around the circularity of the “Dot” from the name.
The brand language was also designed around this iconic element with guidelines to always place messaging within the white circle of a black background.
